Drawing from classic and contemporary R&B, funk and soul, MudFunk are united by their love of inspiring music, good friends, and great times. "We all bring our own love to this music," says lead vocalist Adriana Parejas. Their emotionally charged songs alongside the bands, big, soulful sound with a fully stacked horn section and background vocals will keep you engaged, dancing and wanting more.
MudFunk have been successfully establishing themselves in the Vancouver area and selling out venues such as Guilt and Co., The Railway Stage and Beer Cafe and The Fox. They have been able to draw an audience that touches youth to those who have been listening to soul and rnb music since Aretha Franklin. Their goal for 2018 is to share and spread their music beyond their hometown and British Columbia.
"We are grateful to have a band that follows in the footsteps of the larger R&B bands circa the 70's to present day." - Dane Roberts, Founder and Curator of The Victoria Ska and Reggae Festival
MudFunk recently made its debut in film with their songs "I went down to pray" and "Waiting" being featured in a film done by Reel One Productions. They will also be featured in a documentary to be released later this year, directed and produced by Oz Yilmaz with Pelicula Films.
Stay tuned for MudFunk's new single with music titled "What about the love" to be released in February 2018 with video. This song will be be included on their 4 song EP coming out April 2018
