Drawing from classic and contemporary R&B, funk and soul, MudFunk are united by their love of inspiring music, good friends, and great times. "We all bring our own love to this music," says lead vocalist Adriana Parejas.
MudFunk have been successfully establishing themselves in the Vancouver area and selling out venues such as Guilt and Co., The Railway Stage and Beer Cafe and The Fox. They have been able to draw an audience that touches youth to those who have been listening to soul and rnb music since Aretha Franklin. Their goal for 2018 is to share and spread their music beyond their hometown and British Columbia into Eastern Canada.

Reviews and Press:
"MudFunk, a nine-piece neo-soul/funk collective, is carving an emotionally charged path in the city of Vancouver. Led by Adriana Parejas (vocals) and Will Lloyd (guitar), this nine-piece force sparked from a friendship at audio engineering school. Meeting at Pacific Audio Visual Institute, Will and Adriana envisioned a modern sound mixed with a soulful feel. On the heels of their debut EP, the two discuss the realities of working in a nine-piece group, the creative process behind MudFunk, and how their ideas of success have transformed." - Click here to see full article @ Auxoro.com.
"The last two years working with MudFunk was one of the most inspiring experiences I've had as a presenter and lover of music in quite some time. Vancouver's MudFunk were one of the most passionate group of individuals I've had the pleasure of working with. We shared a mission and a vision and that was to work towards bringing Stax Records & Lifetime Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Booker T. Jones to The Vogue Theatre in the winter of 2016. MudFunk were the guests of honour at The Vogue Theatre alongside upcoming blues prodigy Jesse Roper. Later that same year we also presented them at Victoria's 17th Annual Ska & Reggae Festival. Musically the band creates R&B and funk inspired through their everyday life experiences and modelled after some of their most coveted musical heroes. We are grateful to have a band that follows in the footsteps of the larger R&B bands circa the 70s to present day." - Dane Roberts, Founder and Curator of The Victoria Ska and Reggae Festival.
